Presidents Report – Boomerang – Feb 27th 2025

It may be called Boomerang but we won’t be returning any time soon. A combination of wet fairways and roughs, terribly scarred, bumpy greens and a hole out of play sealed Boomerang’s fate, at least until they get their act together. Captain Murphy has already cancelled next February 2026 and booked Shoalhaven Heads instead.

Having said that the 2 Person Ambrose was keenly contested, with new man Dunc McColl and Tim Love taking the cash with 65 nett 58.75, edging out Terry Wales and relatively new man Kieran Mierrendorff on a countback.

I asked Tim Love if he liked playing early on match day. He replied, “Yes, Pete. I’m an early riser. I like to get up at 6.00am no matter what time it is.” See you at Kembla Grange or at the pub.
