Club handicaps, without the spreadsheet page

Figures move after each Stableford, Ambrose and 4BBB. The live numbers are calculated in the scoring app. This page keeps the rules, and leaves the table empty until we sync a public copy.

After each round, current club handicaps will appear here as a display-only list (name and handicap — no emails). For now the official list lives in the Bally Scoring app.

How we handicap

New members with a recent Golf Australia handicap play off that for their first game. Three recent cards can be used at the Captain’s discretion if there is no current GA mark.

Without cards, the first round is unscored for prizes other than specials. Stroke play to a triple-bogey pickup; the Captain then sets a club handicap. Cap is 45 for everyone.

Stableford: over 36 points, 0–20 handicaps lose a third of a shot per point (nearest whole); 21–45 lose half a shot (round up). 30–36: no change. 29 or less: one shot back. The winner of a Stableford also comes off one. Ambrose and 4BBB: only winning teams come off one.

Visitors without a handicap may be given a nominal mark. They can win specials, not the cash 1st–4th.
