A record field of 57 players teed off in the Christmas Ambrose at The Vale on December 22nd. This event is without doubt our most popular fixture of the season.
The team of Mike Hill, Col Lawson, Mark Nightingale and Dean Watson won the day with an impressive nett score of 41.375. Second was the team of James Garrard, Dan Rowan, Dan Hillhouse and Brett Zanni with 42.25. Third place went to the father and son combinations of Liam Saunders, Mark Saunders, Ben Gatwood and Peter Gatwood with 43.75.
The lunch and presentation was, as always, a fantastic occasion. Catering for 80 plus people is no small affair. To do it economically and deliciously is a credit to all involved. To all those who contributed, and there were many, I thank you from the bottom of my golf bag.
