Round 5 of the 2022/23 season was played at the stunning Gerringong golf course on Sunday August 21^st. And didn’t she turn on her charm! After a chilly, early morning start the day warmed to be an absolute cracker. The ocean sparkled and a nice swell provided plenty of crashing waves, creating a fine mist which just added to the experience.

Scoring, in the 2 Person Ambrose, was surprisingly good with Dean Watson and new boy Derek Short taking out first place with a gross 73, nett 65.25.  Second place by a measly 0.25 was Dwayne Johnson and Kev Watson with gross 74, nett 65.5, And third place went to Mark Nightingale and Chris Quoyle with gross 73, nett 66.

Back at the pub I thought things were a bit quiet and then Brett Z reminded me that Simmo was absent in Bali. However, things eventually loosened up and the beer and wine flowed freely as we enjoyed the usual delicious BBQ offerings.
